Good nutrition is vital to the well being of active Little Athletes.
A good, well balanced diet is vital to a child’s overall health, growth, and therefore self-esteem and sporting performance.
According to Sports Dietitians Australia “The well nourished athlete will be able to play better and for longer, stay mentally alert, and recover quicker from training and competition. The active child who is not getting enough total energy may be tired and lethargic, struggling to maintain their enjoyment in sport”.
